The idea of consequences somehow got a bad rap over the years. How often have you heard people discuss the use of positive consequences? Because in the parent-child relationship, there are A LOT OF THEM. And our children need them. They need to know that when they are dysregulated, confused, struggling, and flooded with neurochemicals, the people they rely on will offer care and support. They need to know that a consequence of their expression of love towards us will be a reciprocated expression
