Every year, we get multiple free solo accidents. In recent years, the Flatirons above Boulder, Colorado, saw three fatalities, two within two days. A search of the Accidents publications database reveals 33 accident reports and eleven deaths in the Flatirons since the 1950s. Many of these are the result of unroped climbing.
