Cut the flower off, but keep the green stalk and leaves while they’re still firm and green. 🌱 Why you should leave the stem • the green stem is photosynthesizing • energy it makes is stored back in the bulb • this helps the bulb re-bloom next season • removing it too early can weaken the bulb So: • pinch or cut off the spent flower to stop seed formation • leave the stem standing
